ABOUT US

The Directorate In Details

The TMU ODEL Directorate oversees the implementation of open, distance and electronic learning. It is also in charge of development of eLearning materials in form of Modules, which are used in the facilitation of courses delivered online. Examinations and all forms of assessment are conducted as per the university exam regulations and policy. The directorate conducts digital training and eLearning courses for staff and students, besides offering the necessary administrative, academic and technical support to the faculties. TMU ODEL in collaboration with ICT authority trains champions on various aspects of e-learning. The trained staff are able to: develop and upload course contents in the university’s e-learning platform, create instructional content and assessment materials in readiness for delivery of the university’s common units. Through digitization, TMU students are able to access their timetables, course outlines and marks online on the student portal. TMU ODEL is developing training programmes and infrastructure plans to realize full operationalization of the open distance and eLearning.
