SECURITY SERVICE POLICY

• Our policy is to understand the real needs of our clients where we shall meet and exceed their expectations with complete and reliable solutions.

• We shall ensure that our security services towards our customers meets stringent standards in regard to quality and safety parameters.

• The section promotes continuous process improvement at all times and shall continuously review and improve the quality management.

OBJECTIVES

• Ensure consistency in apprehension of culprits and related criminal perpetuators affecting Tom Mboya University assets, employees, and their immediate property.
• Create security awareness to enhance good mutual understanding with staff and surrounding community in stamping out elements of law breakers through periodic joint meetings.
• Enhance surveillance and intensify patrols within the university precincts.
• Comply with all relevant government legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to security service delivery.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Prevented and detected crime through everyday patrols and prowling by security officers.
• Apprehended criminals within the university and facilitated prosecution in courts of law.
• Recovered stolen items and property from offenders.
• Enforced university laws and regulations, especially during events like student elections.
• Created awareness through training, seminars, and issuing of safety alerts to staff and students.
• Collaborated with government security agencies to enhance safety on campus.

OUR MILESTONES

• Tom Mboya University Security Department was established in 2015 under the leadership of the Head of Security.
• Due to the increase in the number of students, staff, and intrusion by community members, the number of outsourced security personnel was increased to effectively handle security matters.
• The department has installed CCTV systems in several buildings, notably in the new administration building, among others.
• Security services have been outsourced to complement the internal Head of Security, ensuring the entire institution is adequately manned both day and night.
