Message from the HOD

The Transport Department operates under the Office of the Vice Chancellor and plays a critical role in the coordination and management of all university transport services. Its core responsibilities include ensuring the efficient allocation and scheduling of university vehicles to support academic, administrative, and operational needs. In addition to overseeing daily transport logistics, the department is also tasked with implementing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program aimed at enhancing the safety, reliability, and longevity of the institution’s vehicle fleet. By conducting regular inspections, servicing, and repairs, the department helps minimize vehicle downtime and ensures compliance with safety regulations and roadworthiness standards.
