Course Description

A critical and research-based program that explores the foundational questions, values, and principles underlying educational theory and practice. It examines the ethical, political, and epistemological dimensions of education, preparing scholars to influence educational thought, policy, and leadership.

Expectations

Duration: 3 years part-time Independent Research: Explore philosophical issues related to education such as justice, equity, knowledge, purpose of schooling, or moral education Academic Writing: Produce a rigorous dissertation and contribute to scholarly publications Critical Thinking: Engage deeply with classical and contemporary educational philosophies Teaching Skills: Assist or teach courses in education or philosophy Policy and Advocacy: Analyze and contribute to education policy debates Professional Engagement: Present at academic conferences and collaborate in interdisciplinary forums on education
