Course Description

A research-based program that critically examines the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula across educational levels. It prepares scholars to shape educational content and practice, ensuring relevance, quality, and inclusivity in teaching and learning.

Expectations

Duration: 3 years part-time Independent Research: Explore issues such as curriculum reform, instructional design, competency-based learning, or indigenous knowledge integration Academic Writing: Produce and defend a doctoral dissertation; publish in academic journals Curriculum Expertise: Analyze, design, and evaluate curricula for relevance, equity, and effectiveness Teaching and Supervision: Teach curriculum theory or methods at tertiary level and supervise teacher education students Policy Engagement: Contribute to curriculum policy formulation and national education reforms Professional Development: Present at conferences and participate in curriculum review panels and academic networks
