Course Description

This program blends agricultural knowledge with business and management principles to prepare students for leadership roles in the agribusiness sector. It covers agricultural economics, supply chain management, agribusiness finance, marketing, and policy. Students gain the strategic and analytical skills needed to manage agri-enterprises, promote value addition, and drive innovation in the agricultural industry.

Expectations

Students are expected to develop managerial, entrepreneurial, and analytical skills tailored to the agricultural sector. They will learn to formulate business strategies, manage resources, assess market trends, and apply economic principles to agribusiness operations. The program equips graduates to drive agricultural transformation and economic development. Duration: 2 YEARS, PART-TIME ONLY.

Graduates can work in agribusiness firms, cooperatives, food processing companies, financial institutions, NGOs, government ministries, and international development agencies. They are suited for roles such as agribusiness managers, supply chain analysts, policy advisors, agricultural economists, and project coordinators in the agriculture value chain.

Minimum Requirements

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN AGRI-BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OR EQUIVALENT - 2ND CLASS LOWER OR HIGHER FROM AN ACCREDITED INSTITUTION. (IF 2ND CLASS LOWER, THEN 2 YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE OR A RELEVANT POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IS REQUIRED)
