Course Description

This program offers advanced knowledge in the structure and function of cells and the molecular mechanisms governing life processes. It covers areas such as genetics, cell signaling, molecular diagnostics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. Students gain practical experience in laboratory techniques, research design, and the application of molecular tools in health, agriculture, and environmental science.

Expectations

Students are expected to master molecular and cellular techniques, conduct independent research, and apply findings to solve real-world problems in health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. The program encourages scientific inquiry, critical analysis, and innovation. Duration: 2 YEARS, PART-TIME ONLY.

Minimum Requirements

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN BIOLOGY OR A RELATED FIELD - 2ND CLASS LOWER OR HIGHER FROM AN ACCREDITED INSTITUTION. (IF 2ND CLASS LOWER, THEN 2 YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE OR A RELEVANT POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IS REQUIRED)
