Dr Lucy Achieng’ Ogol, holds a PhD in Curriculum Studies and Educational Planning, with over twenty years of experience as a national curriculum development specialist at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, where she helped to initiate the Competency Based Education Curriculum, which is being implemented nationally. Dr. Lucy, currently works at Tom Mboya University (TMU) as a Lecturer in Curriculum Studies and was the immediate former Head of Postgraduate Studies for the last three and half years, where she spearheaded the review of the TMU Postgraduate Rules and Regulations, Concept and Research Proposal documents, which are currently in use among the postgraduate students. Dr. Ogol embraces to an invigorating sustainable learner culture and environment. She was therefore recently appointed a Mentee Pal for the African University Postgraduate Students for the year 2026, by the international African Scientists Frontiers Initiative (AFSI). This award will aid postgraduate students navigate the barriers, challenges and opportunities to accomplish their studies within the desired timeframes.
