The University Council is the supreme governing body of Tom Mboya University established under Section 33 of the Universities Act, 2012 and the Tom Mboya University Charter, 2022. The Council is responsible for the overall governance, control, and administration of the University.
The Council comprises a Chairperson, Principal Secretaries representing key government ministries, members appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, and the Vice-Chancellor who serves as the Secretary to the Council.
