About
Dr. Mark Peter Odero holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Analytical Chemistry, obtained through a prestigious World Bank Scholarship under the African Centre of Excellence in Phytochemistry, Textile and Renewable Energy (ACE-PTRE) hosted at Moi University, Kenya. An Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, his academic and research interests lie in the areas of environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, textile chemistry, and natural products chemistry. With over a decade of experience in Chemistry education and research, Dr. Odero is committed to advancing scientific knowledge and promoting innovation. He is passionate about fostering cutting-edge research, building capacity within the scientific community, and translating research findings into practical, sustainable, and transformative solutions.
Dr. Odero has served as an Examiner for Diploma and Higher Diploma programs in Analytical Chemistry with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and as a tool developer for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET-CDACC). He also serves as a Member of the Board of Management for both the National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) of Kenya and Butula Boys National School in Busia County. Previously, Dr. Odero served as a Lecturer at the Rift Valley Technical Training Institute and the Eldoret National Polytechnic, where he also held the position of Deputy Head of Research and Innovation.
