About

I am a lecturer in Literature with over 10 years teaching and research experience in Higher Education. I have taught Literature in the Faculty of Education, Tom Mboya University since 2018. I have also taught in various institutions within and outside the country since 2015. I have also worked as a researcher in various capacities for different organisations including the Kenya Oral Literature Association, the African Women Studies’ Center and USAID-Funded programs. My teaching and research cuts across different genres including: African Women’s Life Histories, African Auto/Biographical Discourses, Popular Culture, Post-colonial Studies, Oral Literature. Additionally, I participate in community outreach and community service through academic mentorship and career counselling of undergraduate students, and as a BoM Member in Homa Bay County, where I am based.
