Faculty of Education

Prof. Enose M.W. Simatwa is an Associate Professor of Educational Management and Foundations at Tom Mboya University. He has a distinguished service of Teaching, Examination, Research and Community service for 36 years, at tertiary teacher education level for five (5) years and at secondary school level of four (4) years. He has also served as a Director Quality Assurance at Tom Mboya University and as a founding Dean of the Faculty of Education. He has supervised to completion 31 Doctor of Philosophy candidates and 108 Masters candidates’ in the fields of Education and Social Sciences in Maseno University, Rongo University, Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology and Tom Mboya University and also authored 189 publications in refereed journals to hid credit besides others that are in print. In a nutshell, Prof Simatwa is a career educator spanning from 1976 as a secondary school teacher, teacher educator in primary teacher training colleges, Diploma teacher training college and university. He is an accomplished researcher and has attracted research funds from NACOSTI and awarded scholarship by World Bank to study teacher education at Postgraduate level. Most of his research works are cited internationally. He has also served on school Boards of Management and Boards of Governors of Technical Vocational Education Training Institutes in Kenya. He has also participated in national and international conferences in the field of education. His interest is basically research, training of researchers and educators besides providing governance to educational institutions.
