Dr. Joab M. Kinzi has specialized in Educational psychology and counselling. Graduated with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Psychology from Egerton University, Kenya in the year 2010; Master of Education in Guidance and counselling from Egerton University, Kenya       in the year 2006; Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from University of Nairobi, Kenya in the year 1999; Bachelor of Science (chemistry major) from Moi University, Kenya in the year 1994. Served in the following position: Dean Faculty of Education Tom Mboya University, Kenya from 2023 to Date; Chairman Project Implementation committee (ERP upgrading) Tom Mboya University, Kenya from 2022 to Date; Director Quality assurance Tom Mboya University, Kenya from 2020 to 2023; Ag. Dean faculty of education Laikipia University, Kenya in 2013.  Chairman of department of psychology, Counselling and Education foundation Laikipia University, Kenya from 2011to 2013. Examination officer, department of psychology, Counselling and Education foundation Laikipia University, Kenya from 2009 to 2011.

The faculty of Education is one of the faculties in Tom Mboya university College that was created in in September 2018 following the re-organization of existing Facultys to be in tandem with the University college's strategic plan. The Faculty houses three (3) Undergraduate and twelve (12) post graduate programmes. The programmes are mounted as regular, evening, weekend and holidays/recess depending on quorum in a calendar year. The faculty is responsive to the everchanging curricula in the whole education system and related undertakings in the society.
