TMUC Signs MOU with Fujian Institute of Oceanography and College of the Environment and Ecology, Xiamen University
On 25th January, 2022, Tom Mboya University College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fujian Institute of Oceanography (FJIO) and Xiamen University College of the Environment and Ecology, Coastal and Ocean Management Institute (COMI). The ceremony that started at 10.a.m was attended by Mr. Zhang Xiafeng, First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Kenya (ECCO), Prof. Wang Xinhong, Associate Director of the College of the Environment and Ecology Xiamen University, Mr. Lian Zhangfei, Director of Fujian Institute of Oceanography Prof. Charles Ochola, Principal of the Tom Mboya University College and representatives and witnesses from the signing parties.


This new partnership will see to it that all three parties involved work together and contribute in regional capacity building on coastal and ocean governance. This will be achieved through collaborative training and capacity development as well as enhancing communication and collaboration on scientific research between Kenya and China. Tom Mboya University College being a learning institution that values the importance of partnerships and collaborations for regional growth looks forward to achieving the goals and objectives of this new partnership.
