On Friday, 21st May 2021, Tom Mboya University College had the honor of hosting Prof. George Magoha, the Cabinet Secretary for Education. The main purpose behind the visit was to assess the current developments within the Institution. As a growing University College and with an eye on the Charter, Tom Mboya University College, under its Principal Prof. Charles Ochola, has embarked on serious development projects for expansion. These include the Main Gate and the New Administration and Lecture halls Block. These will see the University increase its capacity enabling it to admit even more students.

He also visited The International Centre of Excellence in Malaria Research Center (ICEMR), a collaborative project between Tom Mboya University College and University of California, Irvine, of the United States of America. Here, he encouraged that the Institution should continue with its efforts in finding the cure for malaria, especially insisting on making the mosquito infertile.
