Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Faculty of Law. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to a dynamic and forward-looking academic environment committed to excellence in legal education, research, and professional development. Our Faculty is dedicated to nurturing competent, ethical, and innovative legal professionals who are well equipped to respond to the evolving demands of society. In recognition of the rapid integration of technology in all spheres of life, we offer programmes such as the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with Information Technology, designed to prepare graduates for a modern, digital legal landscape. Our curriculum blends strong theoretical foundations with practical skills, ensuring that our students are not only knowledgeable in the law but also adaptable to emerging technological trends. We pride ourselves on a student-centered approach, experienced faculty, and a commitment to integrity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Dean's Roles & Responsibilities

The Faculty is headed by the Dean of Faculty whose roles and responsibilities include:

  • Academic Leadership – Provide strategic leadership in curriculum development, teaching, and research within the Faculty.
  • Policy Implementation – Ensure Faculty policies align with the university’s vision, mission, and regulations.
  • Administration and Management – Oversee daily operations, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance – Maintain and enhance academic standards, accreditation compliance, and programme quality.
  • Student Support – Promote student welfare, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Research and Innovation – Encourage and facilitate legal research, publications, and scholarly activities among staff and students.
  • External Relations – Represent the Faculty in collaborations with government, industry, professional bodies, and international partners.
