The Faculty In Details

The faculty of Education is among the pioneer faculties in Tom Mboya University. It was created in September 2018 when Tom Mboya University College was established. The Faculty houses three (3) Undergraduate and twelve (12) post graduate programmes. All undergraduate programmes are offered on regular basis. The post graduate programmes are offered on evening, weekend and recess basis and are dependent on quorum in a calendar year. So far more than one thousand undergraduate students and more than thirty post graduate students have graduated from the faculty.

📜 Mandate

Our mandate is drawn from the University College's Statutes guided by the Universities Act, 2012. The Faculty shall promote academic excellence through development of academic programmes, continuous learning, teaching, research and outreach.

Structure of the Faculty

The Faculty is headed by the Dean of Faculty whose roles and responsibilities include:

• Approving faculty hiring
• Setting academic policies
• Overseeing the faculty budget
• Engaging in community interaction
• Supervising staff and students
• Performing various administrative duties at the university
